About the Fellowship

Initiated in 2003, the Mid Atlantic Arts Creative Fellowships program annually supports fully-funded two-week or one-month residencies at VCCA for writers, visual artists, and composers from eligible mid-Atlantic states. A VCCA residency at Mt. San Angelo includes a private bedroom with private bath, a separate individual studio, and three meals a day in a community of cross-disciplinary artists.

Residency applicants living in Delaware, Maryland, New York, and West Virginia are automatically considered for available funding.

Artists who have previously received support through this program will not be considered eligible to receive another Creative Fellowship for the three years following a supported residency.

It is a true gift to step outside one's life and be supported for one's creative endeavors in a peaceful setting. The friendships made and space to work with little distraction and all your needs met is unique and for that I am grateful to VCCA.
