It was a pleasure to welcome more than 125 guests to VCCA’s beautiful hilltop home at Mt. San Angelo on Saturday, April 25, for our biggest fundraising event of the year. Our 2026 Spring Soirée was a festive celebration of the food, landscape, and creative spirit that make VCCA’s flagship artist residency program so magical.

Contributions to the Annual Fund advance our mission to provide a distraction-free environment in which writers, visual artists, and composers can create.
As part of the evening, special guest Margot Lee Shetterly, author of Hidden Figures, sat down with VCCA Executive Director Kevin O’Halloran to discuss her experience as a VCCA Fellow, her latest book project, and the importance of time and space for creative work.
