VCCA Connects: Bringing Art to the Community

The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) is excited to launch a new traveling event series in our region! In partnership with neighboring community spaces, we’ll be connecting local art lovers to the creative work of VCCA Fellows who are visiting from around the world. VCCA Connects events are always free and open to the public.

Join Us: November 19, 2025

The next VCCA Connects event will be held at the Daura Museum of Art on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 7 to 8 p.m. The night’s program will feature multiple VCCA Fellows who will share their creative work and answer questions from the audience.

The Daura Museum of Art is a teaching museum that enhances the University of Lynchburg’s academic mission, transforms learning through encounters with works of art, advances creative collaboration with all fields of study, and furthers the appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts and cultural heritage for all University of Lynchburg constituents.

Past Events

Thank you to Second Stage | Amherst for hosting our inaugural VCCA Connects event on April 30, 2025! Three VCCA Fellows — composer Bishu Chattopadhyay, visual artist David Fludd, and writer Leah Rogin — shared their work with the community.
