About this Fellowship

This fully-funded two-week residency was initiated in 2026 by VCCA Fellows Council member Hananah Zaheer, in honor of her mother, to support South Asian writers.

The VCCA residency at Mt. San Angelo includes a private bedroom with en-suite bath, a separate individual studio, and three meals a day in a community of cross-disciplinary artists.

To be considered for a Tahira Zaheer Fellowship for South Asian Writers, complete the “Application for Mt. San Angelo Residencies, VCCA in Virginia – Spring 2027,” selecting your fellowship interest in Question 2.
