This May, we celebrate 54 years of artistic excellence at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, a place where creative minds find the time, space, and support to nurture their work. VCCA was incorporated as a nonprofit organization on May 18, 1971. Since then, we’ve welcomed nearly 7,000 artists working across disciplines — and each one of them has played a role in shaping this vibrant community.

But the future of VCCA depends on all of us. That’s why we’re asking every member of the VCCA community to contribute a gift of $54 in honor of our 54th birthday.

Together, we can ensure that VCCA continues to provide:

  • A beautiful, peaceful environment where artists can focus and create without distraction.
  • Residency programs that support artists of diverse disciplines and backgrounds.
  • The nurturing community that fosters collaboration, inspiration, and lifelong connections.

By giving, you’re not only celebrating VCCA’s history, you’re securing its future.

Every donation makes a difference.
