About the Award
Established in 2006 in memory of VCCA Fellow and Board member Karen Shea and renamed in 2013 to include Karen’s husband, developer and arts patron Gabe Silverman, this fellowship supports residencies for artists in need, with preference given to women who are late-career artists.
