Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus in Schwandorf, Germany
20th Anniversary Exhibition and Residency 2008 marks the twentieth year of the exchange between the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus and the VCCA. This anniversary will be celebrated with exhibitions in Schwandorf in June 2008 and in Regensburg in September 2008, featuring the work of artists who have participated in the exchange. Heiner Riepl, Director of the Künstlerhaus, and Craig Pleasants, Program Director of the VCCA, are working together to curate these exhibitions. During the exhibitions, there will also be readings and performances of work by writers and composers. Some of the VCCA Fellows selected for this exhibition and accompanying performances will be invited to be in residence again at the Künstlerhaus before and during the exhibitions. Salzburg Künstlerhaus in Salzburg, Austria This six-week residency is offered to a visual artist in the lovely city of Salzburg anytime from August 1 to September 30, 2008. The VCCA participant will be provided a spacious studio with a sleeping loft, as well as a stipend to cover food costs. The studio has bathroom and kitchen facilities.
