This is a four-week residency in September 2008 for a visual artist at Schloss Plüschow, a residential studio facility near the Baltic Sea. The artist will have a large studio and adjacent studio apartment with bathroom and kitchen facilities in a 19th-century chateau housing other artists' studios. It is 15 kilometers (10 miles) from the port city of Wismar, and bicycling distance from the shore. Participants provide their own meals.
An opportunity for one composer to participate in a composers' forum in September 2008 in the mountains near Salzburg. This 10-day workshop/performance time in Mittersill will be followed by two weeks in Salzburg, where the composer will be introduced to the local music scene. Housing is provided in both locations; all meals are provided in Mittersill, with a modest food stipend provided for the two weeks in Salzburg.
