Schloss Plüschow, Mecklenburg, Germany

This is a four-week residency in September 2012 for a visual artist at Schloss Plüschow, a residential studio facility near the Baltic Sea. The artist will have a large studio and adjacent studio apartment with bathroom and kitchen facilities in a seventeenth-century chateau housing other artists' studios. The chateau is fifteen kilometers (10 miles) from the port city of Wismar and within bicy­cling distance to the shore. A small railway station offers good connections to Hamburg (1 hr.), Lübeck (30 min.), and Berlin (2 1/2 hrs.). Participants provide their own meals. It is often possible to arrange for a family member or friend to stay with you.
