Lucinda’s studio practice integrates artistic process with navigation of the landscape by running. She uses GPS generated forms, as well as narratives gleaned form the experience of navigation, as the starting points for her paintings, drawings, and installations.
Bliss is based in Maine and has shown widely in New England, Chicago, and the Southwest. She received an MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College (’99) and a B.A. in Art History from Skidmore College (’88). She currently serves as Interim Dean of Graduate Studies at the New Hampshire Institute of Art and as Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Colby College.
