Jane Harrington has written books for young adults (Scholastic, Lerner) and is now crafting literary fiction and creative nonfiction in Virginia’s Blue Ridge, where she lives, writes and teaches college writing. She holds an MFA in Fiction from Carlow University. Publications featuring her work include Chautauqua, Mom Egg Review, Anthology of Appalachian Writers, Portland Review, and Irish America. Her stories have received honors regionally and internationally. Pieces she wrote while at VCCA have garnered first place in the C-Ville/Writerhouse Creative Nonfiction Contest and a spot on the long list for the Sean O’Faolain International Short Story Prize in Ireland.
