Mindy Lewis is the author of Life Inside: A Memoir (Washington Square Press). the editor of Dirt: The Quirks, Habits and Passions of Keeping House (Seal Press), and recipient of the 2015 New Letters Dorothy Cappon Prize for Best Essay. Her essays and book reviews have appeared in the New York Times Book Review, Newsweek, Lilith, Body & Soul, Poets & Writers, Arts & Letters Journal, Many Mountains Moving, Psychoanalytic Perspectives, and in anthologies. She teaches at The Writer's Voice in New York City and leads a Poets & Writers workshop in Kew Gardens, NY. She has also taught at Brooklyn College, Hudson Valley Writers’ Center, and as a visiting writer at George Mason University and SUNY.
