Introduction

"Residency at Moulin à Nef could not have been a greater gift to my creative life...The special character of Auvillar and support of VCCA heightened for me the thrill of discovery... The sights alone gave me a lifetime of imagery and memories."   - VCCA-France Fellow Meredith Fife Day

VCCA currently offers exchange programs with seven international artists' communities. VCCA-International is open to all writers, visual artists, and composers who previously have been in residence at VCCA. Participating Fellows are responsible for their own transportation arrangements and costs.

VCCA-France. Our flagship international program is housed in a beautifully renovated 17th-century facility in the south of France. At Le Moulin à Nef, we host 12 artists a year for one-month residential fellowships in the medieval village of Auvillar in Gascony. A series of workshops is also offered each year, and the property is available for rental. Since 2009, VCCA has partnered with the East Coast Contemporary Ensemble to create a contemporary music festival in Auvillar.
