Laura Maria Censabella wins $10,000 ADAA William Saroyan Human Rights/Social Justice Playwriting Award

for her play Carla Cooks The War.  The Saroyan Playwriting Prize is an international award for the best play in a given year focusing on human rights and social justice.  This year's final judges were Erik Ehn (Brown University), David Lan (the Young Vic, UK) and Sebastian Born (the National Theatre, UK).  The award was presented at the Pasadena Playhouse by Pier Carlo Talenti, Center Theatre Group, Los Angeles. Carla Cooks The War was written in part at the VCCA.
